Private Lessons - Please call the shop to schedule. Private lessons are available, $40 for a one hour lesson, $25 for a half hour lesson, at a time convenient to both student and teacher.
In this two-part class we will make a pair of fingerless mitts with a stretchy cuff and simple cable. Learn to use the magic loop method (NO Double Pointed Needles!) and also follow a small chart with cables to form an owl as the design. There is no homework.
Supplies: Size 8 circular needle either 32" or 40" for magic loop
stitch markers, cable needle, tapestry needle for finishing

GATSBY NECKLACE with Shaina BilowSaturday, December 7, 12 - 2:30pm
This 1920's inspired necklace will captivate you. It is a wonderful gift for women of all ages. In this class, learn to make the necklace using sport weight yarn and size 6/0 seed beads. Short-rows, bead knitting, and special finishing techniques will be covered.
Homework: String 130 beads onto your yarn and bring a 1/2-1" matching button to class with size 3 needles.
Fair Isle is a color knitting technique in which you work two different colors on the same row to form a repeating pattern. It is a very fun skill to learn. In this class, we will make a Fair Isle hat using either a snowflake, skull, or heart motif. While working Fair Isle in the round, you will learn to knit with your "other" hand.
Homework: Cast on 90 stitches on a US 7 16" circular needle, join in the round without twisting, and work in k1p1 or k3p3 ribbing for 1-2" for the bottom border of our hats. Bring your homework, additional yarn colors, and a stitch marker to class.
FELTED SOAP with Kim and Carissa

Felted soap functions as a built in washcloth and gently exfoliates while creating a lovley lather. Plus, it's just pretty! As the soap is used up the felt casing will shrink with it until it gets very small allowing you to use every last bit as well extending the life of your soap. Once the soap is gone you will be left with a small, great smelling, felt pouch that can be cut open and used to put something special in. Supplies are provided.
CROCHET SNOWFLAKES with Kara Gunza

Come join us for a night of fun as we create our own winter wonderland of lacy crochet snowflakes! This instructor-led project class includes four snowflake patterns and will cover lace-specific techniques such as blocking, fabric stiffener, as well as a variety of embellishing options to make your snowflakes sparkle. Students should have a working knowledge of basic crochet skills and stitches.
Supplies: size 10 crochet thread (provided), a 2 mm steel hook, a sewing needle, and scissors.
LAST-MINUTE GIFT COWL with Michelle Kupfer

Take a break from the stress of holiday planning, and schedule some knitting time for yourself or for your last-minute gifts. In this class, learn to make an easy and beautiful unisex cowl, using chunky weight yarn. Two patterns will be provided in class.
Supplies: 130 yds chunky weight yarn ( Berroco Vintage Chunky ) 24" circular needle, size 10.5,
basic knitting toolkit (stitch markers, tapestry needle, scissors, etc )
Short row fun anyone? In this class Keith will teach you how to properly work short rows using Noro Silk Garden, Kureyon or Tayo to create 1 of 24 squares that combined turn into a beautiful afghan called "The Lizard Ridge." You not only learn short rows, you will learn how to properly read and count your stitches while working two different strands of yarn at the same time! Disclaimer: Once you start this project, it will be very, very hard to put it down. Be prepared for addiction, laughter, and bursts of color!
Supplies: One skein Noro Silk Garden, Kureyon or Tayo will complete one square. (The entire blanket uses 24 skeins.)
